Programming


The DHS AOIT Computer Programming strand provides a stringent course of study that enables students to enter a career in IT related fields such as Computer Programming, Software Development, Video Game Design, Computer Security, Bioinformatics and Database Design and Adminstration. In the Programming I course students learn how to describe, analyze and solve programming problems, paying attention to details. These skills will be acquired while learning the syntax of the Scheme programming language. Learning programming skills in the main objective that students achieve. The Programming II course, students learn more advance programming conepts such as object oriented programming and more complex data structures. As students participate in the programming course load they become eligible to obtain college credits through Montgomery College.
